A run-down of which events stood out during the weekend.

Castle Lite's Embassy Party

On Saturday, Castle Lite played host to the Republic Of Extra Cold Embassy Event at NASREC in Johannesburg.

The evening line up hosted by Nomuzi and Toll A$$ Mo included MVD (made up of DJ Milkshake, DJ Vigilante, DJ Dimplez), BoyznBucks, Moneao, Culoe de Song and Black Motion.

And to top it all off, Pearl Thusi was re-elected as president of The Republic of Extra Cold and will serve her second term as president at Republic of Extra Cold's winter event this July.

Running against fellow candidates Sizwe Dlomo and DJ Warras,  Pearl was- voted in by her loyal citizens who celebrated her victory by shutting down the show with Cassper Nyovest, Major League DJs and a twerk.

Trevor Noah's Lost in Translation

Trevor Noah has been in Mzansi for a few weeks now and he's tweeted us some snaps as evidence as well.

The first few dates of his one-man show, Lost in Translation were already fully booked even before Mr Noah landed in the motherland.

Those that have seen it, have loved it and laughed a lot.

The show ends on July 4 and is showing at Montecasino in Johannesburg.

Durban July Pre-party

The event was held in Sandton and some celebs came out to have fun ahead of this weekend's Durban July weekend.

In preparation of the invasion of the KZN city, people came out to show that they were ready to take over the beachy town this weekend.
