A woman has been found alive 13 days after her funeral. Sharolyn Jackson went missing from her home in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and when a body matching her description turned up her family identified it from photographs of the corpse and told the authorities it was her.
Her nearest and dearest posted an obituary in the local newspaper and even held a funeral for her fearing she had passed on, but they were shocked when Sharolyn's son received a call to say his mother was in fact alive and had been at a mental health facility in Philadelphia.
Following the mistaken identity, the Philadelphia Health Department have now launched an investigation to find out whose body was buried.
