Zahara has her dire financial state thrust into the spotlight once again.

Award-winning singer and songwriter,

This time, the Afro-pop star allegedly failed to foot the bill at a posh shisa nyama.

Sunday Sun reports Zahara (real name Bulelwa Mkutukana) and her publicist Oyama Dyosibo enjoyed an expensive bottle of wine and a beer at the upmarket Meat Lounge in Sunninghill, Johannesburg.

The bill, which is in Sunday Sun’s possession, amounted to R778, but before they could settle it, Zahara and Oyama made a dash for it.

The pair reportedly tried to sneak away but was stopped by their waiter. They quickly said they were simply going to the bathroom but upon emerging from the ladies’ room, spun the waiter a long story.

“She told them she had left her wallet at home and would come back to pay,” a source revealed to Sunday Sun.

But the singer, who was allegedly  blacklisted by a bank after she failed to pay her monthly instalments for her Audi A5, never returned with the money.

According to Oyama, they were hosted by the owner of the shisa nyama, which is why they never payed.

After he was called for comment, manager of the restaurant, Michael Hlongwane, remained tight-lipped.

“The Meat Lounge does not discuss clients with the media,” he said.
