Baked Beans With Pineapple & Bacon

We’ve taken one of SA’s most versatile and iconic products and given it the Eskort twist. No more beans on toast! This #JustDelicious dish will soon become a firm family favourite!

Serves: 4    |    Preparation: 10 min    |    Baking: 25 min


1 packet Eskort Streaky Bacon
2 cans (410g each) baked beans
30ml (2T) brown sugar
10ml (2t) dry mustard 
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 can (410g) pineapple pieces
4 spring onions, finely sliced
crusty bread to serve


  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • In a bowl, mix the baked beans, brown sugar and mustard.
  • Lightly season with salt and pepper, stir in the pineapple pieces and half of the spring onions.
  • Spoon into a casserole dish and top with the bacon rashers.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the bacon is cooked through.
  • Increase the temperature to 230°C and further bake until the bacon is slightly crispy.
  • Serve warm in bowls, sprinkled with the remaining spring onions.
  • Enjoy with fresh crusty bread.
