Butternut & Bacon Pizzas

This is the story of a meeting between butternut and bacon! The result: a #JustDelicious dance of flavour in your mouth.

Serves: 4 | Preparation: 10 min | Cooking: 20 min


500g butternut, peeled and diced 
ground black pepper
30ml (2T) olive oil & a little more for frying 
1 packet Eskort Diced Bacon
400ml tomato pasta sauce
1 pack of 4 pizza bases, thawed
200g baby spinach
200g mozzarella cheese, grated


Preheat oven to 200°C. 

  • Place the diced butternut on a baking tray.
  • Season with salt and pepper and drizzle the olive oil over.
  • Toss to season well.
  • Roast the butternut for 15-20 minutes until it starts to soften.
  • Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the diced bacon until cooked through, but not crispy.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Spoon a thin layer of tomato pasta sauce over the pizza bases.
  • Assemble the butternut, bacon, spinach and grated mozzarella on top of each base.
  • Place on a baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes until the base is crispy and the cheese has melted.
  • Cut the pizzas into slices and serve.
