We won’t bore you with a cheesy line here, ’cause this lasagne is cheesy enough already! The whole family’s gonna love this #JustDelicious sausage and three-cheese lasagne.
Ingredients
45ml olive oil
375g Eskort Gold Medal Pork Sausages
4 large garlic cloves, minced
2 cans chopped tomatoes
10ml Italian herbs
salt and ground black pepper
1 packet lasagne sheets
60g Parmesan cheese, grated
200g mozzarella, grated
150g cheddar cheese, grated
30g butter, melted
fresh basil, finely sliced
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the sausages until lightly golden and set aside.
- In the same pan, fry the garlic for 3 minutes then add the chopped tomatoes and Italian herbs.
- Slice sausages into coins and return to the pan with the garlic and tomatoes, season lightly with salt and pepper and cook until the sauce has reduced (about 10 minutes).
- Arrange a single layer of lasagne sheets into an ovenproof dish, top with a layer of the tomato and sausage sauce. Sprinkle with a ? of the Parmesan, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Repeat the process until all the tomato and sausage sauce is used up.
- Top with a layer of lasagne sheets and brush with the melted butter. Finish with a final layer of parmesan, mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Bake the lasagne for 20 minutes until the sauce starts bubbling and the cheese has melted. Turn the heat up to 230°C and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese has browned.
- Serve warm with a sprinkling of sliced basil and a side salad of your choice.
