I have read a lot, just these past few months about political parties throwing stones at each other. The one is showing open toilets, the other showing uncalled for upgrades to the presidential palace.
Politicians please wake up
My question to all parties, and seriously you must be thinking that we as South Africans are either very dum-dum or stupid or ignorant or blind. Let me fill you all in on who South Africans are.
We are a rainbow nation. Every color and every creed loves here. We love our families and friends and specially this country. We have come through tough times, be it personal or as a nation. We have been beaten and we have been chased. This is the very reason why we can run as we do.
We as SouthAfricans have heard that we will amount to nothing. South Africa will go down, as soon as we are free. We have heard that no black can rule a country without driving into poverty. We have heard it all. We as South Africans have hated each other for many years. We not only hated from black to white, but from colored to black and from black to Indian. We have been brain washed to believe we need to be divided to survive. South Africa was called the skunk of the world, due to our crime rate.
We have considered ourselves to be inferior and need to perform harder than others to be seen. South Africans have shown themselves to be a strong nation. We have led peace talks in many countries and have succeeded in many. We are a people of power. We can achieve anything
g we put our minds to. We have performed the first open heart surgery in the world. We developed the well-known CAT Scan. We were the first country to destroy our nuclear arsenal. We have invented the technology to make fuel from coal. We invented the first pool cleaner and many other great things.
The above image is dolosse, which was designed and developed in South Africa. Q-20 / WD 40 as it is known elsewhere is a South African product. Yes you right, damn we are smart. Give us the tools, and we do miracles. Don’t give us the tools and we develop it.
Mark Shuttle Worth showed us that we are an exceptional people. Open source is South African. The world looked at us and was waiting for civil war, while we knew that is not productive.
So where does this all leave us during this election time, with political parties throwing their weight at each other and working the minds of the people.
My question is, what do political parties think we are?
Do they think we are morons that will vote for the party who shouts the most, or the one who won the most? Could it be that they think we as citizens of this beautiful country is incompetent to make up our own minds? Do they still think we need to “follow? Well, I have news for many of these parties who think it is going to be status quo.
Like I said before, we are smart. We can change the world like we had. But you, Mr and Mrs Politics, it is time that you wake up and smell the roses. Please stop making promises you know you can never keep. Please Me Politics stop going around and say you are the best. Show us with your performance and service delivery and job creation that you really deserve our votes.
South Africans has been lied to for too long. We are tired of all your politicalry and self-echo. When we say we want something we know is possible, let it be. When we say education should be FREE, let it be so. When we say courts for Sex offender’s death penalty, what you need to do is, gets a referendum going so we can make the right choices. You get into power as if you got you there yourself. We, the people is tired of you telling us what we need. We are not stupid; we know what is happening in our country. When we say call charges for phone calls is to high investigate without being bought over by these scrupulous operators. Stop your corruption and start work for the people.
Mr and Me Politics, you tell us we need to vote for you, but all you do it trample our votes on the ground when you have your nice little BMW. I miss Madiba today, for he was one of a kind. I miss Madiba today, for he at least felt for the people and gave. I miss Madiba today, for he showed me how politics can be. I miss my Madiba today, for his heart.
Politicians, stop making accusations about each other for your own benefit. Politicians, please start to see the people for who they are, your constituents. We are not because of you, but you because of us.
