DA KZN welcomes 150 ex-ANC members

Durban – The DA in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday claimed to have welcomed more than 150 ANC members into its party in Welbedacht, south of Durban.

“The new members have become disillusioned with the ANC’s corruption and chose the DA as their new political home. They claim their attempts to fight corruption within the organisation had fallen on deaf ears as the ANC leaders are fighting among themselves over positions. Transparency in issuing of tenders and allocation of jobs and houses was also a contributing factor,” the DA said in a statement.

The DA said that while ANC leaders “continue to fight over positions, people feel neglected”.

“The DA will continue to give hope to those who are in need. The DA is more than ready to bring change that will stop corruption, create jobs and deliver services for all who live in Welbedacht and the entire KZN.”

ANC eThekwini region spokesperson Zinhle Cele did not respond to queries sent by News24.
