As of 17:30 on Saturday, only Joburg is left, with 95% of voting station counting complete.

National count: As of 9:30 on Saturday, counting is 99% complete with just 100 districts outstanding in 70 wards from just 3 municipalities.


Tshwane : As of 07:00 Saturday morning the DA has indeed taken the lead in the Tshwane Metro vote count with 43.6% of the vote to the ANCs 40.8%.

Gauteng: The battle for City of Johannesburg rages on as the votes tallied approach 75%.



National: 88% of the votes have been counted. ANC leads the way with 54%, followed by the DA and EFF with 27% and 7.5% respectively.


Gauteng: Less than 1 000 votes separate the DA and ANC as we approach the halfway mark for votes tallied in the City of Johannesburg.


KwaZulu-Natal: The ANC is currently leading in eThekwini with 69% of the votes tallied thus far.

KwaZulu-Natal: The first eThekwini results are coming in.


Gauteng: The ANC is currently leading the DA by a mere 0.7% in Ekurhuleni, with 39% of votes tallied.


KwaZulu-Natal - The ANC is currently leading in KwaZulu-Natal after 39% of votes have been captured.The IFP are in second with 28.67%. No results for EThekwini have come in yet.


National - Latest vote counts show that the DA is leading in 5 out of the 7 major metros. The ANC takes the lead in Buffalo City and Mangaung.


Western Cape - The DA is leading in City of Cape Town with 68% of the vote. The ANC is 2nd with 17,5% of the vote.


Eastern Cape - Early results put the DA 20% ahead of the ANC in Nelson Mandela Bay, with 14% of the votes counted.


Pretoria - The first Local Government Election 2016 results are in for Tshwane.

The DA is leading nationally with 45.45% of the vote in the Local Government Elections. The ANC is currently leading with 56.46% of the vote and DA is following with 38.7%.
