NFP mayor, youth league endorse DA

Durban - With the NFP seemingly fading into the ether after their failure to contest local government elections on Wednesday, the sitting NFP Nongoma mayor has thrown his weight behind the DA.

According to a statement released by DA provincial leader Zwakhele Mncwango on Tuesday, Jeremiah Bhekumthetho Mavundla’s endorsement and support of the DA followed consultation with NFP structures and branches.

“Yesterday, the NFP in eDumbe also endorsed the DA, and later this morning the DA will host a press conference with NFP youth,” he said.

“The DA will take this endorsement seriously, and ensure that we work hard to win both eDumbe and Nongoma so that we can bring about the change that DA governments will bring with them,” Mncwango added.

He called on members and supporters of the NFP to cast their votes for the DA on Wednesday.
