Cape Town - Atomic Kitten will be appearing at Canal Walk on March 24 from 13:30 until 14:30. They will be performing three songs from the smash album Right Now which has gone gold in SA.

The group is in Cape Town to shoot a video for the song You're Not Here (But It's Okay) from the new album, due out later this year.

Atomic Kitten have had two nominations for the Brit Awards. They also have a 17-night UK tour planned for later this year and preparations are under way for the summer release of their second album. In addition they have had chart success in Europe, Australia, South Africa and the Far East.

The new Atomic Kitten got together in January 2001 when Jenny Frost joined the original Kittens: Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton, after Kerry Katona left the group.

Atomic Kitten itself came into the music scene in 1999 and after reaching top 10 success with Right Now, the follow-up See Ya was released in March 2000. The latter track also achieved chart success.

The third UK single, I Want Your Love saw a third consecutive chart topper for the group. At the end of 2000, the group won the Best Newcomer Award at both the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party and the Disney Awards.

At the beginning of 2001, Katona left the group after announcing her pregnancy. The 23-year-old Frost became a part of Atomic Kitten.
