Los Angeles - Jim Carrey says he doesn't believe in everlasting love and that 10 years with the same person is enough.

"I don't believe in this fairy tale of staying together forever," he said. "Ten years with somebody is enough. In ten years, you can give a lot of love."

Carrey, who at 42 has been through two failed marriages, says he doesn't think he will ever find true love either.

"I know it exists. But I doubt I'll ever find it," he told TV Movie magazine.

Asked about the disappointments he has suffered in his love life, Carrey said he was slowly learning to take them well.

"The older you get, the sturdier you become," he said. "You learn that nobody and nothing is perfect, especially not in love." -
