Leopard attack in India caught on camera

Cape Town - Citizens of Ballarpur in India got the shock of their lives when a leopard escaped through a roof and attacked several onlookers.

The leopard had crept into an enclosure kept for livestock where number of cows and other animals were kept.

According to a report on the Huffington Post it is believed that the animal may have come from a nearby tiger reserve in Tadoba-Andhari.

A video captured the attack and shows bystanders scattering in panic as the leopard crept through the roof.

The roof was cut in order for authorities to tranquilise the animal but instead the leopard jumped 4m to attack the people.

After biting one person the leopard then tried to charge at others and finally retreated to a tank nearby, where it was finally tranquilised by workers.
