Cape Town – The Kruger National Park announced that honorary rangers, on behalf of Lasher, will donate R260 000 toward anti-rhino poaching on Friday.This comes after the number of rhino poached in South Africa since 1 January 2013 has increased to 102. On Tuesday evening five suspected rhino poachers have been arrested in Phalaborwa, apparently while on their way to the Kruger National Park. This means that a total of 40 alleged poachers, among them three alleged couriers, have been arrested since the beginning of the year, SANParks said on its website.In 2012, South Africa was losing up to three rhino a week. This year the number of rhino poached has decreased to two per week.
