With a wild population of just 25, the Madagascan pochard may be the rarest on the planet.

Some 21 ducks spent a week in the safety of the world's first floating aviaries on the remote Lake Sofia.

The duck that was thought to be extinct for 15 years has been brought back from the brink and given a new home on the remote Lake Sophia.
