WATCH: Lewis Pugh nears the end of epic English Channel swim

Beginning in mid July, Lewis Pugh has swum his way 560km down the length of the English Channel, to send a message about the crisis of the world's oceans.

"I've been campaigning for the protection of the oceans now for many,many years," he says.

"It's three big things: it's over-fishing, it's pollution and it's climate change. All having such an enormous impact."
