WATCH: Manchester City help fund initiative to provide drinking water in Bangalore

2019-02-19 07:22

Premier League champions Manchester City part-funded the initiative to provide safe drinking water in the growing metropolis of Bangalore.

Volunteers employed hand tools and muscle to bolt together clean water towers.

Outlying parts of Bangalore depend on untreated well water.

Manchester City's intervention, alongside other partners, is designed to make the most of the supplies that remain.

The scheme also involves education about the importance of washing hands and basic hygiene.
