WATCH: Scientists spot an unusual iceberg as they fly over the Antarctic

Social media users have loved sharing these images of an iceberg with sharp corners, spotted by scientists forming part of NASA's Operation IceBridge, which began on 10 October and runs through to mid November 2018.

The images were taken by senior support scientist Jeremy Harbeck who said on the NASA website that he found the unusual iceberg "pretty interesting".

ALSO WATCH BELOW: Earlier this year a huge iceberg loomed on the Canadian coast, attracting tourists but presenting some danger to the local fishing community.
