Residents in Soweto were treated to a day of inspiration and business knowledge-sharing at the Soweto Theatre on Thursday, 4 June.

This seminar was brought to them by Siyabangena and it was a debut of it as a start to a series of national kasi seminars designed to empower young budding entrepreneurs.

The Siyabangena seminar is pioneered by two young entrepreneurs, Sibusiso Hlongwane and Sinenhlanhla Mkhize who own Limitless Business Holdings.

The pair conceptualised the seminars as a response to the hiking unemployment rate and social challenges the youth of South Africa face.

“We want to spread the message that just like the youth of 1976. We cannot wait for someone else to make things happen for us. We must get up, take charge and start creating employment for ourselves and our communities. One way of doing this is through finding our purpose and building businesses around that,” said Mkhize.

The first Siyabangena seminar brought high-end speakers and business owners  namely, CEO of Ignite My Potential and International Motivational Speaker, Max Moyo, CEO of Masechaba Media and Power FM radio anchor, Masechaba Lekalake, CEO of 360 Mobile Salon Charmagne Mavudzi, Isibaya Actors Sdumo Mtshali and Pallance Dladla, CEO of Inkunzi Investments Owen Nkomo, Director of Youth Enterprise at the Department of Small Business Development Vijay Valla, CEO of Adclick Africa Velly Bosega and lastly Busisiwe Gumede Of Current Affairs Anchor at YFM.
