A night of music and laughter

When Gayton McKenzie launched his latest book Trapped at the Michaelangelo hotel’s L’Incontro Ballroom, it was an affair to remember. The 130 guests arrived to a red carpet lined with media, and walked into a glamorous room for a three-course meal while entertained by Banzo & Friends. However, the night belonged to Trapped and Gayton, who regaled guests who included Jimmy Manyi and Sandile Memela, with experiences that have seen him go from jobless to becoming a best-selling author, investor, mine owner and solar energy entrepreneur. Trapped is available at bookshops nationally for R150.
