African Voices meets soccer legend Siphiwe Tshabalala

Siphiwe Tshabalala will today be on CNN’s ‘African Voices.’ In the show Siphiwe, who is one is one of the country’s number one players, reveals how he started out to ‘African Voices’: Siphiwe takes the CNN’s ‘African Voices’ viewers to where it all began, a field in his hometown of Soweto. He always envisioned playing for his favourite childhood team, but not for the national team, Bafana Bafana, where he became an international sensation.

He will talk about scoring the opening goal at the 2010 South African World Cup and his views on; ‘being celebrity is just a status’.  He will also reveal that he wants to make an impact that will leave a strong legacy in South Africa, and the African continent as a whole.” Siphiwe runs a foundation that provides South African youths with opportunities on and off the field.
