The talented movie director Mr B hopes his award-winning film will enjoy the same success in Mzansi as it has overseas.

He is the man behind the award-winning film Safe Bet which will make it’s local debut on 11 March at Ster Kinekor nationwide.

The movie premiered last Thursday at Eastgate Mall, Joburg.

Mr B, whose real name is Bonginhlanhla Ncube, said his film has been seen at many international film festivals.

Speaking about the movie, he said: “Safe Bet is an action comedy which will get people laughing. It does not have much

violence and is just meant to be enjoyed. It’s about a young guy called Frank and his quest for money. This is something

we can all relate to, rich or poor, we are always looking to make more of it.”

He said the main character Frank, played by Wandile Molebatsi, is an accountant whose lifelong friend Khaya (Godfrey

Thobejane) tries to get him into a money-making scheme.
