BabongileNgcobo, who is affectionately known as Babo, was born in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal. “When I was eight years old, I moved in with my maternal grandparents. They lived in Melmoth. My grandfather was a bishop in the African Gospel Church within that community. “Then my grandfather passed away and I went back to KwaMashu.

Losing him was the worst experience of my life, but God gave me strength to deal with it. “I believe I’m who I am today because of my late grandfather. He taught me how to pray and how important it is to read the Bible. “His teachings have played a huge role in my life. I have a strong connection with God because of him.”
