Batsile has landed an international lead role

We all know for his role as "Nathi Sokhulu" on Generations: The Legacy. His real name is  Batsile Ramasodi, and he has landed a role as the main star in the international theatre production, The Dirt Road.

Batsile’s production is part of the SA-UK Seasons 2014 & 2015; a cultural exchange partnership by South Africa’s Department of Arts and Culture and the United Kingdom’s British Council currently underway.  The initiative aims to strengthen cultural ties between South Africa and the UK, the SA-UK Seasons commenced in January 2014 and will conclude in December 2015.

The Dirt Road. 17-24 September 2015

A tragic love story that follows the relationship between a Xhosa man and an English speaking coloured women. Dirt Road had a very successful debut in Paris, France and its first African Debut at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2014.

Our industry needs the recognition it deserves and these are the moments that make the efforts all worth it. The SA-UK Seasons is a phenomenal concept that exposes the UK market to South African culture through arts and theatre" Batsile says.

Batsile starred in the Hollywood film, End Game in 2009.
