Chakalaka chutney meatballs

¦ 60ml (6 tablespoons) oil

¦ 8 x bought meatballs

¦ 1 onion, chopped

¦ 2 cloves garlic, crushed

¦ 250ml (1 cup) beef stock

¦ 250ml (1 cup) Mrs Ball’s

chakalaka flavoured


¦ 30ml (2 tablespoons)

chopped fresh rosemary

¦ 100g (250ml) grated

mozzarella cheese


Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Heat half the oil in a large frying pan and brown meatballs.

Remove and place in an ovenproof dish.

Add the remaining oil to the pan and fry onion and garlic until soft.

Add beef stock, chutney and rosemary and simmer for 2 minutes.

Add onion mixture to meatballs and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with pasta and vegetables in season.
