Chilli macaroni beef

Serves 6

Power setting: Full, defrost

1 onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

500 g minced beef

300 g macaroni

1 can (410g) tomatoes

400 ml beef stock

50 g (3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon) tomato purée

30 ml (2 tablespoons) chilli powder

salt and pepper, to taste

Place the onion, green pepper and beef in a casserole dish. Cover and cook on full power for five minutes, stirring and breaking up the meat once in during this time. Add the macaroni, tomatoes, stock, tomato purée, chilli powder, salt and pepper, and mix well. Cover and cook on full power for six minutes, stirring once. Reduce the power setting to defrost and cook for 30 minutes, stirring once. Leave to stand for five minutes before serving.
