Ham and spinach pasta

¦ 500g penne pasta, cooked

¦ 30ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil

¦ 1 onion, chopped

¦ 2 cloves garlic, crushed

¦ 2 cans (410g) chopped tomatoes

¦ 500g ham, diced

¦ 250ml (1 cup) cream

¦ salt and freshly ground black pepper

¦ 200g (2 cups) white cheddar cheese, grated

¦ 1pkt (300g) baby spinach


Cook penne according to

instructions on packet until

just cooked – al dente.

Heat oil and fry onion and

garlic until transparent, add

tomatoes and ham, cook for 5

minutes, add cream.

Season with salt and freshly

ground black pepper. Stir in

cooked pasta.

Add grated cheddar cheese.

Toss in baby spinach. Heat

through for 10 minutes. Serve


You can use

any shape pasta and also

use French polony or salami

instead of ham.

Move! tip: Ask the deli counter to cut

you a thick slice of ham so

that you can get decent size

of dices.
