I saw my former mother-inlaw giving her other grandchildren muthi so that the kids could come and stay with her. She even called a sangoma to smear things in her house. I’m scared of taking my children to visit her. What must I do?

Sis Naledi answers:

It’s unfortunate that your children belong to their father and that family too. South African law gives the father the right to children’s visitations unless there is evidence of child abuse. If you are uncomfortable with your ex’s rituals, you need to discuss this with him and agree on what’s best for the kids.
