High temperatures

High temperatures continue to plague Johannesburg and Pretoria resulting in reduced productivity and morale in the workplace

2015 has been recorded as the hottest year to date and there is no question that a heatwave has an adverse effect on employee moods, productivity and drive.

“We have noticed the adverse effect the heat is having on office workers particularly this year.  The heatwave is one element for managers to contend with but to make matters worse is that we’re nearing year-end and employees are generally tired and planning their escape before the festive season kicks into full swing,” says Juanita Simpson, Sales and Marketing Director at ICAS Southern Africa from ICAS Southern Africa.
