It does not matter what brought about your split when you see that your ex is over the pain is there, no matter what you do.

Here are some tips on how to cope when your ex moves on.

Take stock of your past relationship: it is easier to blame your ex for what went wrong in the relationship. In order for you to heal, grow and be ready for the next relationship you need to be honest with yourself. If you are honest with your elf you will be able to find a way to heal.

Put on a brave face: break-ups are bad, but you need to be brave even if you are not feeling good. If you act brave, you will start to believe in yourself and the fact that things will be okay. Stop focusing on things that make you sad. Go out with friends and make the best of it you might even meet someone.

Focus on yourself:  instead of following what your ex is doing focus on yourself. Look at things that you have always wanted to do in life and set out to achieve them. Do things that will improve who you are and build your confidence. Set small goals that will improve you. This will make you feel better and speed up the healing process.

If you feel sad about your ex, talk to your family and friends. They will help you through this difficult time.

Let go – if you ex has moved on, why hold onto the hope that you will get back together?

Time is a healer. At some stage, it will start hurting less and you will be in the right space to move on.
