The fatal shooting of a KwaZulu-Natal woman, who was cornered as she was trying to go back into her place of work, was caught on a CCTV camera.

The woman, 28, was killed on November 29.

Police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said that the Brighton Beach SAPS were investigating the shooting.

A video has emerged online showing the incident through the lens of a closed circuit camera.

In the video, the woman can be seen leaving her place of work.

A black VW Polo is driven onto the property.

The woman then begins retreating back to her offices.

But a gunman corners her and fires multiple shots.

She then falls down some stairs.

Gwala said that the motive for the killing was unknown.

However, it is believed that the man was an estranged boyfriend.

"A 31-year-old suspect was later arrested in Chatsworth area and was charged with murder," Gwala said.
