Mafikizolo is an Afro-Pop band that started singing in the 1990’s. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1996 and was an instant success.

They have released a further 6 albums since then, a testament to their longevity and ability to remain relevant across generations in a fleeting music industry which, at times, does not facilitate long lasting careers. In 2003 they dropped their fifth album Kwela which featured jazz legend Hugh Masekela.

Sadly in 2004 the group lost one their founding members Tebogo Madingoane. Nevertheless, Theo and Nhlanhla decided to build the legacy of the group and continue as a duo. After releasing their sixth album Six Mabone and 12 years of working together the group decided to take a break and work on their solo projects.

After a five year hiatus the duo came back together in 2013 to collaborate on a new album simply titledReunited. The first single “Khona” from the new album is already getting high rotation across radio stations’ playlists. The song has become a favourite with fans across the continent and is becoming a crossover hit.
