Mara Louw writes how she fought for a decent pay during Apartheid

Mara Louw, says during the apartheid era local artists weren’t appreciated in their own home country.

Mara says they were paid less for their craft than what they expected.

The passage from the actress's book was posted by BlackBird Books publisher Thabiso Mahlape who said that it is still the problem nowadays even though Apartheid ended almost 25 years ago.
