Marinade for lamb chops

Serves 6


12 lamb braai chops

4 tablespoons oil (olive, sunflower or canola)

4 tablespoons soy sauce

4 tablespoons vinegar

1 tablespoon tabasco sauce

2 teaspoons mustard powder

1 teaspoon curry powder

½ teaspoon Allspice

½ teaspoon paprika

4 tablespoons tomato sauce


Place all the marinade ingredients in a screw-top container. Secure the lid and shake until everything is mixed well. Place the meat in a non-reactive (i.e. not metal) container with a lid and cover with the marinade. Cover the container and leave for an hour or two, or preferably overnight in the fridge.

Move! tip: You can use wine instead of vinegar and Worcestershire sauce instead of soy sauce.
