Milky oats

Serves 3 or 4

Oats is packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre. By cooking it with milk, you add extra calcium and protein. Serve with fruit of your choice for a super nutritious breakfast.

250ml (1 cup) oats

pinch of salt

625ml (1 cup) milk

30ml (2 tablespoons) brown sugar

cinnamon or cinnamon sugar to taste

2 bananas, diced

Place the oats, salt, milk and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Keep stirring while it simmers for three minutes. Remove from the heat, sprinkle with cinnamon or cinnamon sugar, and serve with diced bananas.
