While #OpenUpTheIndustry has been a trending topic on Twitter for two days straight. Some people are tired of seeing the same faces on TV and radio, it doesn’t seem fair that some celebrities are being attacked in the process.

Countless complaints coming from people who want new TV personalities to given a chance in the entertainment industry.

Some saying they are tired of the regular faces on TV, which includes Minnie Dlamini, Bonang Matheba, Pearl Thusi, Boity Thulo, Lerato Kganyago and others.

A couple of celebrities joined in on the conversation, Bonang who is a hostess on a variety of shows including TV and radio, was interviewed on 702.

In a short clip posted on 702’s Twitter page, she explained that she initially lost the Metro FM gig to Siphokazi in January.

"When Metro FM was trying to replace, Azania left Metro FM, and there was an open call for people who want to be on Metro FM to send through their demos and that's what we did. People don't know that I lost that gig to Siphokazi January. And, when I lost that gig, I wasn't like 'ahhh, whatever, stuff this'. It was a matter of like 'I didn't get this right now, let me try something else..."  Queen b said.

Lerato Kganyago also added her two cent to the matter on her Twitter page saying:

“nobody wants to work! People just want everything handed to them!!!”

Pearl Thusi shared her thoughts too

“#OpenUpTheIndustry would be much easier if those already in it were paid decently enough to not have to take more work to feed the fam.”

“Lastly. Some y'all acting like I was born into this- we all struggled "industry" to get in. We've been there. STAYING HERE- even worse.”

It shows nothing is give and take, its earned through sheer determinations and staying strong in tough times.
