Veteran actor Darlington Michaels and Isidingo big wigs have worked out their differences, this coming after the controversial exist of the actor last year.

Darlington, who spent 16 years on the soapie playing the role of Georgie ‘Papa G’ Zamdela, was reportly unhappy with the way he was treated by his employers and quitted the show in June last year.

Almost a year later, the actor and his bosses have sorted out their differences.

A statement released by Isidingo has revealed that the infamous Papa G is set to make a comeback to the soapie and will shake things up.

The return of Papa G forms part of the soapie’s plans to heat things up in the current storyline by bringing back old favourites.

Another old favourite who will be returning to Horizon Deep is Tshepo Maseko, who plays Parsons Matabane.

Shortly after news emerged that Darlington would be leaving the soapie, he was quoted as saying, he would never return to the show, as he felt "unappreciated."

Darlington, who suffered a stroke, was apparently unhappy and hurt over allegedly not getting any support from his bosses. "Ek is finished and klaar met daardie mense (I'm done with those people). I had a big problem with them both, financially and emotionally. When I was hit by a stroke (in 2013), I didn't get enough support from them financially. I had to pay my own medical bills which amounted to more than R20 000. My loyalty wasn't appreciated," he told Sunday Sun.
