This passion fruit fridge tart is the perfect sweet highlight at any braai. You can also make this tart to impress your friends at a tea party.


½ packet Marie biscuits

3 tablespoons melted butter

1 tin condensed milk

1 packet lemon jelly

1½ cups boiling water

Pulp of 12 passion fruits (granadillas)

Move! tip: Serve with whipped cream.

Crush the biscuits and mix with the melted butter and 3 tablespoons of the condensed milk. Line the bottom of a greased pie dish with the crumb mixture and press down to form a crust. Cut the passion fruit in half and scoop out the pulp with a teaspoon. Mix the jelly powder with the boiling water and leave to cool down. Mix the passion fruit pulp with the jelly and the rest of the condensed milk. Pour the mixture over the crust. Cover the dish in cling film and refrigerate for at least three hours or until set.
