¦ 1pkt (400g) puff pastry, thawed

¦ 65ml (¼ cup) store bought tomato pesto

¦ 8 slices prosciutto or Parma ham

¦ 8 thin slices cheddar cheese

¦ 30ml (2 tablespoons) chopped fresh


¦ 15ml (1 tablespoon) chilli flakes

¦ 45ml (3 tablespoons) olive oil, for



Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a 25cm x 25cm square cake tin.

Roll out pastry, spread tomato pesto evenly on pastry.

Layer the prosciutto or Parma ham to cover the whole surface of the pastry, layer the cheese on top of the prosciutto.

Roll pastry into a long log, mix together parsley, chilli flakes and olive oil, brush mixture all over pastry roll.

Cut pastry into 8 equal sized buns and place in a baking tin leaving a bit of space between the rolls.

Brush with left over herb mix on top.

Bake in oven for 25 – 30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy
