Brickz is currently behind bars, and will next appear in court on July 20 for his sentencing.

Last week, Sipho ‘Brickz’ Ndlovu was convicted of raping his 17-year-old relative and her family says justice has been served

Bab’ Ngwenya, the girl’s father, father told the City Press that God has answered their prayers.

“As a family, we had lost hope and given up. But when he was found guilty of rape on Friday, we were happy that justice was served. Now my daughter is free,” he told the publication.

The Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court found the kwaito star guilty of raping the teenager in November 2013.

He was accused of raping his cousin at his Ruimsig home.

Ngwenya says Brickz showed no remorse for his actions, and refused to apologise when he was told to visit the family to ask for forgiveness from the victim.

He said the musician was like a son to him, but “chose to act like an animal”.
