Authorities are still searching for a man who shot and killed an Ezakheni resident for a beer, police said on Thursday.

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane, 29-year-old Jabulani Zuma was walking home in B-Section on August 28 when he was approached by two men.

"One of them demanded to have the man’s beer and when he refused to share [it], he was fatally shot by one of the suspects."

Zwane said the shooter then fled the scene. He went on to urge the public to assist in finding the perpetrator.

Anyone with information on his identity or possible whereabouts is urged to contact the investigating officer on 036 636 9507/8.

All information would be treated in the strictest of confidence, said Zwane.
