Sticky pork ribs

Sticky and spicy pork ribs


¦ 2kg pork ribs, cut

into large pieces


¦ 250ml (1 cup) tomato


¦ 10ml (2 teaspoons)

chilli flakes

¦ 10ml (2 teaspoons)

crushed garlic

¦ 10ml (2 teaspoons)

tamarind paste or

Worcestershire sauce

¦ 30ml (2 tablespoons)

golden brown sugar

¦ 30ml (2 tablespoons)

balsamic vinegar

¦ 65ml (¼ cup)

wholegrain mustard

¦ Salt and freshly

ground black pepper

to taste


Place the ribs in a large

dish. Mix together the

marinade ingredients

and pour over the ribs.

Allow to stand for

at least 30 minutes.

Braai ribs until cooked

through. Serve with

braaied mielies.
