Syrupy Sticky Ribs

2 kg Pork Ribs

For the Marinade:

1 Onion chopped

5 ml Robertsons Garlic Flakes rehydrated in water and then drained

½ Red Pepper seeds and stalk removed

125 ml Syrup

125 ml Chutney

30 ml Balsamic Vinegar

45 ml Robertsons Mixed Herbs

Robertsons Atlantic Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste


Precook the ribs in the oven for about 45 minutes at 190°C or until just tender.

Transfer the ribs to a marinating dish, pouring off any excess oil.

Blend the paste ingredients together until almost smooth.

Pour over the hot ribs, cover and allow to cool.

Once ready to braai, cook over medium coals until browned and crisp, turning and basting frequently.
