These singers are taking the gospel music industry by storm Babongile Ngcobo and Sgwili Zuma are making beautiful music together.

“I was born and raised in Emkhambathini in KwaZulu-Natal. I come from a family of 12 – I have eight brothers and one sister. My younger brother and I were the only ones living with albinism in the house, but my family never neglected us. “We were very poor when I was growing up; I remember there were times when we would ask for food from our relatives and neighbours because we didn’t have anything to eat. My older brother was the breadwinner and we depended on his salary. “When our parents passed on – our father in 1992 and our mother in 1996 life became more difficult, but we didn’t give up. As hard as it was, with God’s grace I managed to survive. “I started singing in a school choir when I was only eight years old. Since then, I have never looked back. “I didn’t have enough money to further my studies after matric, but I knew that God had bigger plans for me. Today, I’m proud to say that I minister with my music.”

Living with albinism

“Accept yourself as you are and never let anyone tell you that you aren’t good enough. If I managed to make it in life, you can too. Work hard and never accept failure in your life.”
