Ukhozi lends a Helping Hand in UMsinga

The biggest radio station in Africa Ukhozi FM hosted more than 5000 listeners in UMsinga where it handed over two fully furnished houses to the Masikane family one for the elderly woman and one for her son.

This was one of the most remarkable moments not just for the Masikane family who lost everything including their home due to the unfortunate flooding that took place in 2011, but also for Ukhozi FM.

The station got an opportunity to fulfill its commitments and truly affirm that indeed “Luhamba Phambili” when it comes to living our corporate values of restoration of human dignity, forming conversations and partnerships to build a common future.

Giving cheerfully, practicing righteousness towards other people and restoring dignity is what Ukhozi FM is well known for. Through the amazing feature called “Listen To My Story” from S’bu Buthelezi’s Sunday show Indumiso, the station opened it hands and lend sufficiently to the needs of the family.

Among some of the prominent figures who came to support this wonderful initiative was First Lady Nompumelelo Ntuli, District Mayor of UMzinyathi Municipality Mr. James Mthethwa, UMsinga Municipality Mayor Mr. Sikhakhane as well as local chiefs and municipal councilors.

Ukhozi FM’s presenter, Mr S’bu Buthelezi as well as some of his businessmen and sponsors of “Listen To My Story” were also present on the day proudly steering the initiative, which is very close to the station’s heart. Ukhozi FM’s Station Manager Mr. Bonga Mpanza and Marketing Manager Mu Ngcolosi also took part and supported this great initiative.
