Vienna and pasta bake

Serves 6

45 ml (3 tablespoons) oil

1 onion, sliced

6 viennas sausages, sliced

3 tomatoes, skinned and chopped

30 ml (2 tablespoons) cornflour (Maizena)

180 ml (3/4 cups) amasi

15 ml (1 tablespoon) tomato paste

250 g (½ packet) pasta shapes of your choice, cooked

salt en black pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Heat the oil in a pot and fry the onion and vienna pieces until the onion is cooked. Add the tomatoes and cook for five minutes. Mix the cornflour, amasi and tomato paste. Add to the vienna mixture in the pot and season with salt and pepper. Add the cooked pasta and mix well. Pour into an ovenproof dish and bake for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
