Zimbabwean white farmers, whose farms were forcibly taken away from them, could be given back their land.

The Zimbabwean government has confirmed that for the first time in 10 and a half years since the land was taken from white farmers in the country, that provincial leaders had been tasked to come up with names of white farmers they wanted to remain on their farms.

Minister of Lands Douglas Mombeshora was quoted by The Telegraph as saying that “the farms should be of strategic economic importance".

The move to seize the farms from white farmers resulted to a serious drop in Zimbabwe’s economy.
