Confusion amongst the confused in South Africa

25 February 2013, 13:00

I stand quite amazed at the calibre of commentaries on posts of those who are brave and bold enough to contribute articles out here on News24.com. I see that most who contribute here are trying to make a difference in our nation, trying to contribute to the greater good of our society, which is in desperate need of intervention.

What really astounds me is seeing the times on the comments of some people who are awake at the most bizarre hours; trying to destroy any attempt by any reasonable person, to put forward any viable solutions. The irony of this is when they suddenly become aware how ludicrous their activities are at that insane time of the morning. I wonder what brew of coffee they are consuming that drives their mental ‘hard drives’ into overdrive at that hour.

Is it dementia, delusion, or just plain confusion that spurs them on to hunt after these modern day heroes, in order to meet out their villainous schemes; to seek out the few who dare to bring about change and transformation?

An old satirical terminology used by my parents in reference to these kinds of people is; ‘The Confussed’, i.e. Confused. I cannot see that any reasonable minded person, with a life of any worth or value, would seek out people to prod, pry and persecute in the manner I have witnessed out here.

To those of you who have taken up the challenge to use the pen as your sword against crime, violence and hatred of any kind, I salute you. I am encouraged to see your valiant contributions to our nation. You are my earthly heroes, who are not swayed by the opinions of mankind. Your contributions will make a difference and someone, somewhere, will be challenged and motivated to take up the ‘baton of change’ and run with it, continuing the race of honour and integrity in our nation.

Confusion contributes nothing but chaos and mayhem. It is of no benefit to anyone or any nation. It is one of the very contributing factors towards anarchy. No one who has their convictions rooted in absolute truth will have to suffer or succumb to this condition. Those infused with confusion fall victim to their own shaky foundation of lies and hypocrisy; tumbling into their own ditch of despair and destruction.

I for one chose not to live in the ‘Land of the Confussed’(Confused), or build on a foundation of confusion, but chose to live, established on a foundation of ‘Absolute Truth’; a friend of Wisdom. I chose to be a voice of reason amidst the many voices of uncertainty and chaos. I chose to care about others when multitudes care only for themselves. I chose to be accountable for my actions and how it affects others around me. I chose clarity and reason over confusion; I chose honour and virtue over disgrace and vice.

When enough of us of courage and sanity stand together in harmony and unity for the sake of this nation and our people, then we will see positive transformation and peace spread across South Africa. Until then we will see the root of our demise in the very people who sow discontent and discord, and we will then have to continue to ‘eat’ of the vile fruit of their wicked harvests.

It’s time South Africa to cast confusion to the wind, and to embrace wisdom in all things.

God bless our nation and guard our people in the Land of the Wise who have ousted out the opinion and governance of those from the ‘Land of the Confussed’ (Confused).
