Last year economist Mike Schussler mentioned in an article the following astounding fact: 3 million South Africans (out of 53 million) pay 95% of ALL taxes! Note: ALL taxes! That means income tax, VAT, corporate tax, Capital Gains Tax, Estate duty, petrol tax and all the other dozens of taxes the ANC government has foisted on us, including Carbon Tax and e-tolling. I would believe Schussler; he is a well-known and respected economist. So the big question is this: how much longer can these already-overburdened 3 million SA taxpayers go on paying for this country to run? The other 50 million citizens of SA only pay 5% of our taxes, yet we have over 16 million people on grants. We have Zuma building a R276-million Nkandla for himself and his umpteen wives. We have stories day after day of ANC fraud involving not just millions, but billions. So effectively, this governmental fraud is actually robbing the poor of South Africa by ensuring there is even less money available for healthcare, education, water, sanitation, housing etc. I do not envy Mr Nene in trying to balance our budget, without borrowing so much that we will end up paying most of our tax income back into debt-repayment. So, fellow South Africans, and as a taxpayer for many years myself, I ask you this simple question: just how much longer can this country be effectively run on the tax payments of just 3 million people?
