Hypocrisy and violation of Human rights

28 December 2012, 06:56
Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

This basic human right gets trampled on by the editors of News24 by continuously deleting and censoring the opinions of individuals or groups not fully compliant with their own political ideology.

They accept and ignore comments made by individuals acting out in an abusive and offensive manner against sectors in society which they deem as "irrational and inconsequential". The same courtesy when it comes to replying in kind does not extend to the people being abused and offended by these comments.

From News24's comment policy they state: we can and may delete comments based on the following basic criteria:

- The relevance of the comment to the topic
- The extent to which other users will understand what has been said
- The extent of swear words, the degree of insulting language and severity of the tone of the comment towards either a group of people or an individual
- News24 Users who abuse the comments facility by posting under existing aliases or who post simply to incite arguments on the board

- Spam posts such as advertisements’ as comments we will disabled on the site
- Duplication of comments

Most importantly, racist, sexist, offensive and abusive comments will not be tolerated.

Finally please respect other people's views and beliefs and consider your impact on others when making your contribution.

Unfortunately these policies are only applicable to certain individuals and/or groups on this site. As the blatantly obvious abusive tone, offensive posts, duplication of comments by the attackers against certain groups on this site is allowed. Where as a reply in the same manner gets censored.

The editors on this site also lack an obvious grasp for truth and as such the truth gets censored because a few might be "offended".

It is becoming quite obvious that the News24 team is racist and anti-Christian. Their acts speak louder than their words, the lies they put in their comment policies. Policy which stand only against some people but not others.

Racism is allowed by News24, when the racist attitudes is directed towards the Whites in society.

Intolerance against the religious is accepted when the religious are Christian.

The truth will only be accepted when the "truth" is a blatant lie. All other truth gets censored.

So much for being unbiased and fair.

The truth doesn't cease to be the truth because the majority feel offended by it.

"The majority of us are for free speech when it deals with subjects concerning which we have no intense feelings." Chaffee, Edmund Bigelow

"'Balanced' is a code for 'denied': a right to free speech that must be 'balanced' against so exhaustive a list of other supposed values means a right that can be exercised only when those in power judge that the speech in question is innocuous to them." Dworkin, Ronal

Franklin, Benjamin: "Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech."

News24 Censoring the truth. First
